The Cats know that something is up. Luggage has been packed and unpacked many times. Tom and Cheryl will be heading to Europe for a few weeks. I think they have been taking my measure, "sizing" me up, for the last few days.
Pepper and I get along. We should be fine.
I think that Dusty is having some reservations. She's convinced that I don't know how to play cat games. Unless I am a fast learner, she may be very bored until Tom returns.
Now what can you say about a cat that thinks that it's fun to walk around with a piece of plastic hanging out of his mouth? Cheryl has been getting up around 4:30 AM to row on the river. I had been waking up around 6:30 AM. I expect that all three cats will be banging on my bedroom door well before 6:00 AM, demanding to be fed. Our first test of wills.
I'll keep you posted.
The creature, called Swamp Thing, was originally conceived as Alec Holland mutating into a vegetable-like creature, a "muck-encrusted mockery of a man". However, under writer Alan Moore, Swamp Thing was reinvented as an elemental entity created upon the death of Alec Holland, with Holland's memory and personality intact. He is described as "a plant that thought it was Alec Holland, a plant that was trying its level best to be Alec Holland."
